About Jaime
✨ Desert Boy Turned Hollywood Rockstar ✨
Vocalist Jaime Miranda traded the desert sunsets of his Phoenix, AZ hometown for the hustle and bustle of the Hollywood Sunset Strip, graduating from Musician’s Institute in 2012 — with a degree in Guitar Performance. Searching for inspiration in his music career, Jaime tried his hand at singing. He posted a singing video compilation in 2015 and within a year he was recording and performing as a full-fledged vocalist.
After learning the ropes as a vocalist with original alternative rock band LA Flood (recording their first studio album “Synesthesia” in 2015), Jaime joined the West Hollywood Social Jam in 2018, which integrated him into the Los Angeles rock community, and started working with legendary vocal coaches Tita Hutchison and Geeta Novotny. He has since gone full force into becoming a charismatic and powerful frontman, quickly cementing his place as a favorite in the local scene with his talent, work ethic, and reliability.
Jaime went on to front ‘90s grunge/heavy alt tribute band X NATION from 2018- 2019. He was picked up by ‘80s tribute band 1983 in 2019 and together they continue to frequent hot spots such as Yaamava Casino and the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet, with Jaime showcasing his versatility and stamina with hours-long sets of songs ranging from Mötley Crüe and Metallica to Duran Duran and Golden Earring. He now also fronts Fastride (hard rock) with local legend Ty Asoudegan on guitar, and he has worked and collaborated with bands such as Plastic Rhino (alternative rock/metal), The OWLiNG (alternative metal), Arizona Bay (Tool tribute), Vinyl Cats (rock & metal tribute), and Eruption (Van Halen tribute).
Though primarily a rock and metal vocalist, Jaime is also well versed in emo, R&B, and pop vocals. His background in guitar gives him a versatile ear and an edge in understanding context and each instrument’s place in the music — including and especially vocals. Jaime also remains passionate about guitar and plays bass with Block Ali (rock).
